Doodles come in three standard sizes that give enough choices for a dog lover. You can adopt from the standard Cockapoo, the larger Newfypoo or mini Goldendoodles. The smaller doodles shed less and have less dander.

Below are the most common different types of doodle dogs.

  1. Sheepadoodle

The Sheepadoodle is a larger breed dog. This breed is very loving towards children but needs to be trained to play gently. This thick furred dog was originally bred from sheep. They need proper grooming, shaving and brushing.

  1. Bernedoodle

The Bernedoodle is a new crossbreed . The parents are doodles and Bernese Mountain Dogs. They weigh between 18 to 23 pounds. They have a long or wavy coat. The coat comes in brown, black and white colour. They are very social family dogs. They are fiercely loyal and require proper training and exercises.

  1. Labradoodle

This is the most famous doodle which is a crossbreed between Labrador retriever and poodle. It first appeared in 1955. Their weight is usually 50 to 75 pounds. They have a luxurious coat. It can be wavy, curly or straight depending on the breed. OH! They come up with a wide range of colors like silver, chocolate, black, gold or even uncommon blue colored coats. The temperament depends on the upbringing of the dog. Labradoodles are usually intelligent, playful and social.

  1. Goldendoodle

 The Goldendoodle is a hybrid of a Golden retriever and a poodle. They first appeared in 1992. These are called the “favorite designer dogs”in the U.S. The reason for this is because of their hypoallergenic coat. It weighs around 40 to 50 pounds. The lovely coat is golden usually but also comes in black or white colors. They are very social but it depends on upbringing too. Early socializing makes them more joyful and friendly.

  1. Newfypoo

The Newfypoo is a large breed formed by poodles and Newfoundlands. Newfoundlands are famous for their gentle nature and are called therapy dogs. They love to swim and have a very active lifestyle. Since they are large their weight can reach 100 to 150 pounds. They tend to have long hair which is wavy or curly. They come in different colors like cream, black, white or even red.

  1. Aussiedoodle

The Aussiedoodle is a designer dog that has become most famous over the past decade.  They were the first bred in Australia between an Australian shepherd and doodle. They come with a weight of 45 to 70 pounds. Their coat is a combination of poodle and Australian Shepherd. The coat can be straight, short, wavy and curly. They are the most intelligent and energetic dogs. They are quite friendly and love to spend time with family.

  1. Cockapoo;

Cockapoo is a small hybrid and a very lovable dog. Being so little and handy they can be your best travel partners. They are a breed of cocker Spaniel and doodle. This little buddy only weighs 12 to 24 pounds. They are famous for the merle coat, which is a genetic pattern in a dogs coat that creates a mottled, random appearance. They are extremely good with kids and are easy to please. Their coat needs regular grooming.
