Transporting Dogs in Trucks
Whether its just a short trip to the vet, or a long cross country haul, there are plenty of reasons why you need to transport your dog in a truck. While dog crates can be used for short trips, they are not very safe because they can slide around the bed of the truck. They also don’t provide great ventilation. This can be a serious problem if you are transporting dogs a long distance, especially if it is in warm weather. On the other hand, custom dog boxes are much heavier, meaning they stay in place and are much more secure. They also provide excellent ventilation, which makes it very easy for your dog to breathe during the trip.
In today’s article, we are going to review some of our favorite custom dog boxes for trucks. Let us know down in the comments if you want us to review any other dog boxes!

Tips for transporting a dog in a dog box
While transporting your dog in a dog box, it is important to carry with you plenty of dog food and water, especially if you plan on driving for longer than an hour. You should also take your dogs out for a pee break every few hours. Before placing your dog in the box, make sure that the floor of the truck is not too hot. If the floor is very hot, we recommend putting a blanket inside the box for your dog to lay on. Remember to drive carefully, and avoid making sharp turns at high speeds.
